Seniors attending a Community College or any four-year Institution (CSU, UC, Private) who want to be eligible for financial aid, must apply for FAFSA or California Dream Application during the months of October through March.

Important Information for AB 540 Students
AB 540 students are students who 
  • Attend a CA. high school for at least 3 years.
  • Graduate from a CA. high school or obtain GED.
  • Attend a California college or university
  • Complete an affidavit to legalize immigration status as soon as student is eligible.
AB 540 students may also be considered as Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) students.
Although a Social Security Number has been issued, it is only for work purposes. 
AB 540 students will apply to the California Dream Act Application in order to be considered for financial aid. AB 540 students do not submit the FAFSA as they are not eligible for federal financial aid. 
Important Information for AB 540 Students
Males 18-25 must register with Selective Service to be eligible for Cal Grant and other state aid. Obtain a registration form at the U.S. Post Office.
